Japan - What to Do & Where to Go?

I have always seen Summer as the time of year to get out and explore. Seeing everyone's holiday snaps covering the internet got me thinking about how much I love travelling and, whilst wishing I had climbed into everyones suitcases & joined them on holiday, I had a sudden realisation about how little there is about travelling on this blog. It seems crazy to me that I have somehow managed to bypass talking about such a big part of my life, something I love so much, and so today we are going to readdress the balance. A few years ago I was lucky enough to take a trip to Japan with my family and it was breathtaking. Today I am going to share with you what we got up to whilst we were there and where you should go if you are thinking of making the same life changing trip. Let's explore...

Going Bananas for The Body Shop

I have been a big fan of The Body Shop for a long time now and they recently came up with something a bit different that really caught my attention. Banana scented shampoo and conditioner. Yes, you heard me right. Banana. To me banana is right up there with marmite, it seems to be one of the ultimate love it or hate it scents. I personally love it and this brilliant haircare set has become a permanent resident in my shower. It gives me all the summer feels and has been just what I have needed to brighten these grey August days.

August Anthems: A Summer Playlist

I recently talked about my love of discovering new music (read more here), but something that I haven't talked about, and had forgotten about really, is how equally exciting it is to rediscover old music that you used to love. Isn't that also the greatest feeling? I certainly think so. Certain songs or albums can so easily transport you back to different times in your life and I love that music has the power to bring back memories, happy or sad. This playlist is the best of both worlds (before you ask, no it isn't Hannah Montana themed), it encompasses old and new music to create a fun summer vibe, and I can't wait to share it with you.
