3 Days, 3 Outfits

I have loved putting outfits together, for myself and for my friends, for as long as I can remember and getting dressed has long been one of my favourite parts of my morning routine. I have so much fun creating different outfits on a day-to-day basis that I thought today it would be cool, rather than only sharing one outfit with you, to share a few days worth so you can really get an insight into what I typically wear. Let's note that this is what I wear on days when I am going out of the house and it is a very different fash-un story when I am chilling at home... we will go into that another day! Anyway, today I am going to give you an insight into what I am loving to wear at the moment and I hope you enjoy having a good nosey into my current wardrobe!

Finding Your Perfect Perfume

When I was younger I often wondered why people wore perfume. I knew it made them smell nice, but I could never understand people spending, what seemed to me back then, a lot of money just for tiny bottle of 'smell'. Over the years I have come to associate different people with different scents and, just as everyones house has its own individual fragrance, there comes a lovely sense of familiarity whenever you smell a perfume that someone close to you, be it a friend or family member, wears. This realisation of how I associate different people with different fragrances and the affect that these different 'smells' can have on my mood made me realise how important it was to me that I found my own signature scent. When you find 'your' perfume becomes part of your identity, something that people recognise and associate with you and so I began the arduous task of finding my very own perfect one. It has been a long journey, but I think I have finally found it.  My signature scent, the perfume that reflects me best and today I am going to share with you how you can find yours.

Beating the Autumn/Winter Slump

Autumn has arrived and Winter is well on the way whether we like it, or not. As the nights are draw in I know that I am not going to be the only one starting to feel like all I want to do is hibernate & watch endless reruns of my favourite shows, all whilst feeling sorry for myself for no apparent reason. Sound familiar? Meet what I like to call the Autumn/Winter slump...

In January we all start with a new optimism for the year ahead, looking forward to everything that the year has to hold. There's excitement, there's New Years resolutions and there's planning all the fun stuff you are going to get up to in the months ahead. By the end of the year the optimism begins to wane & as the days get shorter the slump begins to set in. Everyone begins to ask where the year has gone and the Christmas stresses begin to niggle in the back of our minds. Don't get me wrong, I love Autumn and Winter can be great but there is something about the shorter days and colder weather that can really get me down. We all know that feeling of not wanting to get out of bed in the morning and I know I am not alone in finding it just that little bit harder to get motivated the closer it gets to the end of the year. But don't worry, over the years I have found several ways to really help me get out of the slump and get dancing (metaphorically) again as the end of the year nears. With my top tips this time of year needn't be a depressing mush of runny noses, cold toes and frowns, instead let's learn to love it as much as the sunny summer and together beat the Autumn/Winter Slump once and for all.
